Privacy Policy

Iyari is an offline-first mobile application designed for structured field data capture. This Privacy Policy explains how IYARI handles information when you use the app.

1. Local data storage

Iyari stores your field data locally on your device. The app does not automatically upload, synchronize, transmit, sell, or share your field data with Rockswise servers.

The following information may be created, processed, or stored locally on your device when you use Iyari:

• Field records created by you.
• Geographic coordinates captured by the device.
• Photos attached to records.
• Forms, fields, labels, validation rules, and templates.
• Imported maps and files, including GeoPDF files.
• Exported files such as Excel, GeoJSON, KML, or KMZ files.
• App settings and preferences.

This information remains on your device unless you choose to export, share, copy, back up, or transfer it outside the app.

2. No cloud synchronization of field data

Iyari does not provide cloud storage, cloud backup, cloud synchronization, or server-based recovery of your field data.

Because field data is stored locally, Rockswise cannot access, recover, delete, or modify field records that exist only on your device.

You are responsible for exporting and backing up important field data.

3. Location data

Iyari uses device location to support georeferenced field records, display your position in the workspace, and show collected points on maps.

Location information captured as part of a field record is stored locally on your device.

Iyari does not automatically upload your field-record location data to Rockswise servers.

4. Photos, camera and files

Iyari may request access to your camera, photo library, or device files so that you can attach photos to records, import maps or templates, and export field data.

Photos and files selected or created by you remain locally stored unless you choose to export, share, or transfer them.

5. Account and licence information

Iyari may process limited account and licence information when you sign in or use Iyari Plus.

This may include:

• Your email address.
• Account or licence identifiers.
• Subscription status and expiration information.
• The purchase provider associated with your subscription.
• Limited device information used to manage authorised devices, such as a device identifier, device name, platform, and authorisation status.

This information is used only to authenticate your account, verify access to Iyari Plus, manage authorised devices, and maintain the status of your licence.

Account and licence information is separate from your locally stored field data. Iyari does not use its account or licence systems to synchronize your forms, maps, records, photos, or other field data to the cloud.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Iyari Plus may be purchased through Lemon Squeezy, Google Play, the Apple App Store, or other authorised payment providers.

Payment transactions are processed by the applicable payment provider. Rockswise does not directly collect or store your full payment card details.

We may receive limited information necessary to verify a purchase or subscription, such as the product purchased, transaction or subscription identifier, subscription status, renewal or expiration status, and payment provider.

Payment providers handle payment information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

7. Third-party services

Iyari relies on certain third-party services to provide specific functionality, including:

• Payment and subscription processing.
• Account authentication and licence verification.
• Email-based authentication.
• Mapping and map-display services.
• App distribution through Google Play and the Apple App Store.

These services may process limited personal or technical information necessary to provide their respective functions.

They are not used by Iyari to store or synchronize your field records, forms, field photos, or imported project maps on Rockswise servers.

8. Exporting and sharing data

Iyari allows you to export field data into external files.

When you choose to export, send, upload, or share those files through email, cloud storage, messaging applications, GIS platforms, or other third-party services, the handling of that information is governed by the service you choose to use.

Rockswise does not control how third-party services handle information after you voluntarily transfer or share it outside Iyari.

8. Data retention and deletion

Field records, forms, maps, photos, and other field data stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, clear the application’s storage, or uninstall the app.

Uninstalling Iyari or clearing its local storage may permanently delete locally stored field data unless you have previously exported or backed it up.

Account and licence information may be retained for as long as necessary to provide authentication, subscription verification, device management, security, legal, and administrative functions.

Deleting account or licence information does not automatically delete field data stored locally on your device. Local field data must be managed from the app or device itself.

Certain transaction or administrative records may be retained where required by law or by the relevant payment provider.

9. Security

Rockswise uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect account and licence information processed in connection with Iyari.

The security of locally stored field data also depends on the security of your device, operating system, backups, and any external services you use to export or share information.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device and exported files.

10. Children

Iyari is intended for professional, technical, educational, and field data collection purposes. It is not designed for use by children.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Iyari, legal requirements, or the services used to operate the app.

When material changes are made, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice through the app or website.
